Duragen Plus 4in x 5in Adhesion is used for restoring and repairing defects that occur after cranial and spinal procedures. It has a uniform pore structure that facilitates cell ingrowth. In certain surgeries involving brain and spinal cord, neural tissues get exposed after the said procedure. This matrix acts like a normal soft tissue and conforms to the complex surfaces of exposed nerve tissues.
Uses of Duragen Plus 4in x 5in Adhesion:
- To cover large defects after surgery (Cranial convexity)
- To treat brain swelling that is likely to occur after brain surgery
- Adhesion barrier to inhibit post-surgical peridural fibrosis
How Duragen Plus 4in x 5in Adhesion works:
This matrix readily conforms to the surface of the brain, spinal cord and other tissues. It closes dural defects following traumatic injury, excision, retraction or shrinkage. It provides a physical barrier between dura and overlying tissues and protects against fluid leakage. The matrix remains in place and resorbs after healing is complete.
Interaction with other drugs:
Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the surgery.

Safety Advice:
Allergies:
Inform your physician if you experience allergic reactions to bovine or its derived materials.
Others:
- This matrix should be used with caution in infected regions.
- This is not intended for use at the base of the skull following surgery.
- This is not intended to cover dural defects involving mastoid air cells.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious:
- Cerebrospinal fluid leaks
- Infections
- Delayed bleeding
- Adhesion formation
