Introduction to Hiataz-r Tablet
Avoid taking this medication if you are allergic to Hiataz-R Tablet or any of its components. In the initial stages of HIV-1 treatment, some individuals might experience an inflammatory response to opportunistic infections, known as immune reconstitution syndrome. This phenomenon can arise after commencing this medication or other antiretroviral therapies. Being aware of this possibility and vigilant monitoring for any signs of worsening infections or inflammatory symptoms is crucial. Should you notice concerning symptoms or if they persist longer than usual, inform your healthcare provider promptly.
In some patients, PR interval prolongation may occur. Exercise caution in individuals with preexisting conduction system diseases or when using other medications that could extend the PR interval. Additionally, those with advanced HIV may face a heightened risk of elevated triglycerides and pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas situated behind the stomach. If you have a history of pancreatitis, there is an increased likelihood of its recurrence during treatment with this medication.
