INTRODUCTION ABOUT BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET
BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET contains Betahistine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antivertigo agents. It is used to manage signs of Meniere’s disease. Meniere’s disease is a disorder of the inner ear that causes episodes of dizziness, vertigo, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), nausea and problems in hearing.
Before taking BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have asthma or have or had any stomach ulcers. You must also inform your doctor if you have low blood pressure or any underlying allergic conditions (such as skin rash, allergic rhinitis etc.)
BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET is not suitable for use in patients with vertigo and dizziness caused due to other head or brain problems apart from Meniere’s disease. It is also not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women unless considered necessary by the physician.
The most common side effects of taking BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET are headache, nausea, stomach pain and indigestion. Taking this medicine with food may reduce these unpleasant gastrointestinal disturbances. However, consult your doctor if they trouble you.

HOW BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET WORKS
BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET is a histamine analogue with anti-motion sickness and vasodilating properties. It reduces the unpleasant symptoms of Meniere’s disease (such as nausea, dizziness, vertigo and tinnitus) by improving the blood supply to the inner ear.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without food.
For Tablets: Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
For Mouth Dissolving Tablet, Orally Disintegrating Tablet: Place the medicine inside your mouth and let it dissolve completely. Do not swallow or chew the medicine.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight and severity of the disease.

Pregnancy
BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET should not be used in pregnant women unless considered necessary by the physician. Therefore, inform your doctor before taking BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
Breast Feeding
BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless considered necessary by the physician. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
Driving

OTHERS
BETAVERT OD 24MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you:
- Have pheochromocytoma (tumour of the adrenal gland)
- Have other types of vertigo (such as benign positional vertigo) caused due to other head problems and not due to Meniere’s disease
- Are experiencing dizziness due to any underlying brain conditions and not due to Meniere’s disease
