Mechanism of Action of Aprepitant
The Aprepitant capsule inhibits the activity of neurokinin, a natural substance in the brain responsible for inducing nausea and vomiting. By blocking this action, the medication lessens the intensity of nausea and vomiting triggered by chemotherapy.

Aprepitant Drug administaration and Dosage available
Take the Aprepitant capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew it. You can take these capsules with or without food, but do not exceed the recommended dose. Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate dosage based on your individual medical condition. Only discontinue Aprepitant if your doctor instructs you to do so.

Warnings
Prior to taking this capsule, notify your doctor if you have liver disorders, as the liver plays a vital role in metabolizing medication. Additionally, be aware that certain medications, including Pimpzide, Terfenadine, and Cisapride, may interact with Aprepitant, potentially diminishing its efficacy and leading to adverse effects. It is not advisable to administer this medication to children under the age of 12.
