Warnings, Precautions and Side Effects of Carboplatin

Warnings

Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding, pregnant, or may be pregnant before starting with Carboplatin intravenous infusion. Use effective contraception while receiving treatment with this medication and continue to use it for six months even after finishing treatment. Carboplatin may reduce fertility temporarily or permanently in both men and women. Inform your doctor, If you are taking or recently took or plan to take any other medications. Side Effects

The common side effects that may occur while undergoing treatment with carboplatin is loss of taste, diarrhea, constipation, hair loss, skin rashes, itchiness, kidney problem, extreme tiredness, weakness, inflammation in lung tissues, tingling or numbness in your hands, arms or legs, prickling sensation and difficulties in breathing.
