Cabazitaxel is a cytotoxic agent used with steroid medicine prednisone or prednisolone to treat people with hormone-refractory metastatic prostate cancer that has progressed after treatment with other anticancer medications, including docetaxel.

Cabazitaxel may be present in your semen and can affect the fetus, so you should not father a child during treatment and for up to six months afterward.

Since this drug can lower your white blood cell count, increasing your risk of infection, avoid crowds and sick individuals, and wash your hands after using the toilet.
You must not become pregnant during treatment and should use effective contraception. If you become pregnant during treatment, inform your doctor immediately. This drug may cause dizziness, so avoid driving, using machinery, or engaging in activities that require alertness until you can do so safely. If you have a history of alcohol addiction, liver disease, or epilepsy, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
